In 2016, Petal-Harvey Baptist Church began a historic expansion and renovation program. This included new construction of classroom space and a massive renovation of existing facilities. The goals of the renovation included the following:
- Secure and improve children and youth fellowship areas
- Revitalize the sanctuary
- Prepare the church for the immediate and future building needs
The church leadership wanted to design a project that stretched the church spiritually and financially. Pastor Dustie Dunn explains, “Impact Stewardship was the obvious choice to partner with to meet the challenge. Their time tested discipleship approach led our people in Biblical giving, and led us to see sacrificial giving as a form of worship.” Petal-Harvey Baptist Church raised $2.73 million dollars to meet their financial goals, and Pastor Dunn said, “[their process] taught a new generation of our believers how to be faithful stewards.”
