Lee Bailey initially embarked on a 15-year banking career in lending and in particular commercial lending. He found himself helping local churches with loans and how to structure their financials in such a way to get necessary funding. In late 2006, Lee felt a call to ministry and has most recently served as the executive pastor of a large Baptist church in middle TN where his church partnered with Impact Stewardship to build a large addition to their church.
Lee’s years of ministry experience as an executive pastor has given him the opportunity to help lead multiple capital campaigns at his own church before coming on board to serve as consultant for Impact Stewardship. He has truly enjoyed the process of being an experienced resource and encouragement to pastors from all over.
Growing up in the home of a pastor, Lee saw firsthand the ways church pastors need support. At age 16, Lee’s dad hurt his back changing the sign outside their small rural east TN church. His question to his dad was an innocent one. “Dad, is there not anyone that can do that for you?” His dad said that people are busy, and he just did it himself. It was at that point that Lee decided, God put a call on his life. Regardless of his chosen vocation, he was going to be a servant to the pastor of any church in which he was involved.
Lee and his wife married in 1993 and they have 4 grown children who they adore. They are looking forward to the empty nest years and looking forward even more to the grandchildren years. He and his wife, JoAnne, have traveled to numerous states to help churches with marriage and parenting conferences.
